These are beautiful artisan pictures. They are hand made and then carefully framed in glass with a metal edge. The artist is Ceci Cela from Minneapolis. Her dad does the metalwork. These are for sale in my eBay store. I think they make a lovely gift for people who like to cook, bake and garden.

I love the Keep Calm and Carry On trend that's going on. The WWII saying has come a long way and has been interpreted in so many ways. It seems like anything goes: Keep Calm and Have a Cupcake, and so on. It is fun. The nice clean graphics look great on everything from t-shirts, to cell phone cases, to rugs! Here is my natural cork collection from the last few months. I saved them in a yogurt container under the sink until I had enough to drop off. This is a cool recycling program that you should know about. I deposited my corks into the cork bin at my local Whole Foods market for the Cork Reharvest program.
Recycled corks are given a new life as post consumer products such as cork tile floors.
Transportation of the used corks is organized using trucks already in transit so the carbon impact of the program is close to zero! This saves our landfills and reduces the demand for cork production in the Mediterranean cork oak forests. It's a really great idea. Cheers!
